[About the Site]
Year 2006, the world still spins around as usual and the Internet gets flooded by tons of blogs, graphic design websites, and anime websites. Among this 'mare magnum' of randomness, confusion and whatnot, Shinndou.com is born, by the hands and minds of Amroth (Coding beast who knows no fear and pain - ok maybe a lil of pain) and ShiNN (the insane one, who escaped from a psychiatric facilit- ok you're not supposed to know about this).
The name of the website is actually a combination of the name of this site’s owner (ShiNN) with the japanese name shindou that means ‘shock’, or ‘impact’. Not exactly the most original name for a website but it did sound good atleast.
As you might have guessed already, this site was mostly created to store and display the wallpapers that me and Grayserg produce during our spare time as an hobby. We both love anime and we both love graphic design and digital art, and anime wallpapers currently represent the best medium that combine them together.

Pick an italian man, throw him in a huge pot. Add computer science, anime, and digital art and a bit of insanity, then shake repeatedly: here’s your ShiNN cocktail ready! But seriously. I’m just a normal guy, living in Italy and currently studying computer engineering at university. I’m an old time fan of japanese anime and manga, as the first animes I watched were the ones that aired in the late 80’s. During years I slowly got interested to digital art and design, always fascinated by digital artworks and by the fact that anyone, even complete newbies like me, could give it a try. In February 2005 I started making anime wallpapers, which was (and still is) a nice way to sharpen and improve myself at digital design/graphic while still keeping it as an enjoyable experience, as this is and will always be a pure and simple hobby for me. The softwares I use the most are Adobe Photoshop CS 2 and Adobe Illustrator CS 2, with the aid of a Wacom Graphire 4 XL Tablet, and a decent computer.

I've finished school of art in my city in 1993. The first computer I've used for drawing was a "ZX Spectrum" or "Sinclair" during the early 1990. That was really a nice experience, that system had a 16 colors and 256x176 resolution screen :)
I started to use the double combo of Illustrator and Photoshop since 1996 when I became a polygraphic designer. My very first own wallpaper was done in 2003 (inspired by "Treasure Planet" by Walt Disney Pictures), and my first anime wallpaper was completed in 2004 when I watched my first anime serie - Neon Genesis Evangelion and Mahoromathic. But I only began to share my wallpapers with other people since 2005, when I joined the anime wallpaper community known as AnimePaper. Out of everything I love drawing through vectors because of their fantastic flexibility that allows me to make my own interpretation of anime scans and characters. Nowadays I teach at university and I always try to find new ways to produce and draw interesting and expressive artworks.

Born in 1989, i'm still having a lot to learn towards me. I started to draw and be creative as soon as i could hold a pen and wrote in my diary that i wanted to become a designer one day (yes, even before i could pronounce "designer"). Some day, i discovered the nice thing called "computer" and just couldn't spent less than 90% of my time i were on my pc drawing horrible pictures in MS Paint. And well, someday i discovered the internet and all it's features, including nice artworks, animes and photoshop. And well, here i am, having nearly 200 wallpapers already, wanting to improve my skills and wishing to visit an university of art/design somewhen.
